ABOUT THE CLASS
Reformer Control + is where your practice gets serious. If you’ve built a confident foundation on the Reformer and you’re ready for something more demanding, this is the class that takes you there. It’s not about burning you out the way Burn does. It’s about refining your movement, expanding your range, and introducing the kind of complex sequencing that classical Pilates is famous for.
Every session follows our Dynamic Reformer methodology of mobilise, strengthen and stretch, but the execution is more advanced at every stage. Expect multi-layered transitions, longer holds, deeper stretches, and exercises borrowed from Joseph Pilates’ original repertoire. You’ll work through progressions that challenge your balance, accelerate your flexibility, and ask more of your coordination than a standard Control class ever would.
This is a class for members who want to keep progressing. The pace is considered rather than relentless, but the technical demands are real. Because of that, we ask that you’re genuinely comfortable on the Reformer before booking in, and that you’re not currently pregnant or working around an injury. If either applies, Personal Training or Foundations will serve you far better while you build up again.

If you’ve been attending Reformer Control regularly and feel confident with the exercises, transitions and spring changes, you’re likely ready. If you’re not sure, speak to one of our instructors before booking and we’ll give you an honest answer.
It’s different. Burn is built around fatiguing muscles through time under tension and power work. Control + is technically more challenging, with complex exercises and sequencing, but it won’t exhaust you in the same way.
No, this class isn’t suitable during pregnancy or while working around an injury. Please speak to us about alternatives such as Personal Training or Foundations, which can be adapted to your needs.
Grip socks are essential, and we stock them at reception if you don’t have a pair. Wear comfortable, fitted workout clothing and bring a water bottle. Everything else is provided. Please don’t wear jewellery that could get caught.
Two to three sessions a week is a great rhythm for progressing. Mixing Control + with Control or Burn gives your body the variety it needs to keep developing.
