Reformer Pilates has evolved into a more fluid, athletic style while staying true to core Pilates principles. Dynamic Reformer Pilates emphasises longer time under tension, fewer position changes and—in appropriate sequences—training close to muscular fatigue to stimulate adaptation. Classes are sequenced to flow from mobilise → strengthen → stretch for each target area. Delivered accurately, results are exceptional and instructors skilled in this approach are in high demand.
Our Reformer course was created and is delivered by studio founder Jeff Waters—an instructor educated to the highest industry levels with experience as a Personal Trainer, Football Fitness Coach, Mat Pilates instructor and Reformer Pilates specialist.
Jeff’s no-nonsense, results-driven methodology blends the precision of Pilates with the programming mindset of personal training. Having owned and operated multiple successful Reformer studios (and a London HIIT studio), he has spent years perfecting group exercise delivery and mentoring instructors to build thriving careers.

Training takes place at our Guildford studio on the latest Merrithew SPX Reformers over six weeks. Sessions run every Friday, 1:00–6:00 pm (30 contact hours in total), with additional practice and teaching hours recommended between modules.
